Abigail Adams
She was the wife of John Adams and they were both very successful. she used to right to him all the time when he was on business trips. john would write back say the 13 colonies were on the verge of independence (pg.41-42). She wrote her thoughts to him saying that women should also have independence. She got her answer and it hurt her because John wrote back laughing at her idea saying women had enough power. But they made up and moved away from the disagreement. Abigail Adams had to battle through the way people thought women were supposed to be and she had to work very hard to prove them wrong. Then John Adams became president he and Abigail were the first to live in the white house.
